Rebilly news, features, and updates for July 2022
Hi there! Welcome to the Rebilly blog post for July 2022. It has been a hot one, here are some hot features.
New features
This month, we added the following new features.
Tax locations
Tax locations help you to comply with tax obligations. This feature enables you to utilize our Tax Jar integration to calculate and collect taxes in multiple states. For example, your company may be headquartered in New York, but you have a warehouse location in Georgia and are required to collect sales tax from customers in both states. This feature enables you to configure both addresses in Rebilly and collect taxes in those states.
This feature is only available to US-based organizations. For more information, see Manage tax locations.
Set a default payment instrument on an order
Default payment instruments can now be configured on subscriptions and used to automatically pay subscription renewals. This allows customers to have multiple payment methods on file, that can be used for auto-payment on separate orders. For example, a customer may have a large annual subscription that they wish to put on their MasterCard and a smaller monthly subscription that they want to put on their Visa. For more information, see Add a default payment instrument to a subscription-order.
New docs
As always, we are working hard on our docs — this last month was no exception. Here are some of the larger docs that we completed in July.
Developer onboarding
We added a detailed topic that describes all components of the Rebilly product and how they relate to each other. Our aim with this topic is to help our developer audience to quickly understand how Rebilly works and to aid with integration. For more information, see Concepts.
We also added a section to help new developers get started with Rebilly. For more information, see Get started.
QuickBooks Online integration guide
This topic describes how to set up and use the QuickBooks Online integration. Use this integration to synchronize data from your Rebilly account to your QuickBooks Online account. For more information, see QuickBooks Online integration.
Klarna Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) set up guide
Due to popular demand, we added a setup guide for Klarna Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL). This guide describes how to use FramePay to tokenize payments made using Klarna. For more information, see Set up Klarna BNPL.
Tags
This topic describes how to use tags in Rebilly. Use tags to organize and categorize customers or KYC documents based on keywords. For more information, see Tags.
Basic integration
This topic describes a basic means of integrating Rebilly into your application and is aimed at a non-developer audience. It describes how to add a "Buy now" button to your web page and how to process payments using a Rebilly hosted payment form. For more information, see Basic integration.
Subscription statuses
This topic describes the Rebilly subscription statuses and related terms. For more information, see Subscription statuses.
New payment gateway integrations
This month, we added the following integrations:
- Added the support for the NOWPayments payment gateway.
